Northwest Tradegun

No gun in American history has had such widespread use as the Northwest trade gun. Production of this gun touched 3 centuries with some traded to South American natives into the 20th Century!

 By the mid 1700’s, the Northwest trade gun was the most traded and numerous weapon in North America.

The Northwest Trade Gun is available with 28g/.54 or 20g/.62  smoothbore barrel. Barrel lengths are available in 36" or 42".  Smoothbore barrels can be loaded with shot or ball. 

Basic NW trade guns include plain maple stock. The serpent side plate, ramrod tubes and butt plate are brass. The barrel, lock and trigger guard are steel, and are  blued or antiqued finished.
